Find a FIFA14 print advert and describe how it promotes the game.
This is a print poster advert which promotes the game pre-release and encourages customers to pre-order so they can obtain additional content with the game. The language used is effective to its target audience as it states that the pre-ordering customers can 'score' the additional promotional content.

What key conventions of print adverts can you find on the FIFA ad? Product name? Font? Slogan? Central image? Colour?
The FIFA ad features the key conventions of a typical print advert. This includes synergy of the EA Sports FIFA trademark logos and font of the product name used for other text on the poster. The typical FIFA colour scheme of red, gold, black and white is a running theme featured on this print advert as well. 

Find three reviews for FIFA14 that were originally published in videogame magazines. Are they positive or negative about the game? Copy and paste one quote from each review.

Why are magazine reviews effective in promoting the game to FIFA14's target audience?
Because the writers are experienced in videogame analysis and are considered reliable by audiences. This would class as a convincing factor for FIFA 14's target audience.

In your opinion, is print or e-media more effective in reaching the FIFA14 target audience?
In today's high-tech society we consider e-media a more flexible and accessible promotional method, especially for FIFA14's target audience.

It coheres with the 'WE ARE FIFA14' campaign by presenting an advert with people from all demographical aspects such as age, gender and ethnicity. It portrays the game playable by anybody.

To portray him as a commoner.

How does the TV advert feature the FIFA14 brand? Font? Slogan? Main star?
Repeated feature of the '14' trademark logo in its common font, at creative places such as the parachute as well as the animated logo at the end of the advert. 

Why is there a combination of famous footballers, celebrities and regular people in the advert?
To establish the wide array of the target audience demographic. 

Why is the trailer effective in promoting the game?
The YouTube trailer differs from the TV advert and presents purely in-game footage with text animations to show the features of the game. It is concise and informative as well as highly engaging to watch. 

E-media

Interactive features, dynamic graphics and concise text.
